1. Pay off the final credit card (The Canadian one) and have the line of credit under $5,000.00 – Um.. yeah. The Canadian credit card is well to be being paid off but it won’t be paid this year and the line of credit will not be under that mark. The main reason for this is the traveling tickets we bought during the year. Wrestlemania and the cruise. And to make things worse to purchase those tickets, I use those other cards which I previously paid off.. so I am more in debt.. sheesh.. But I have my plan (and my spreadsheet) to have at everything paid off my end of 2015. Hopefully I can stick with it and nothing else comes up, which now I have said that it will.
2. Pay off the lawyer loan from work – DONE. Completed that at the end of May as planned with work.
3. Have $1,000.00 saved in our emergency/Australia fund –DONE its at about $1,100 right now so I did better than expected
4. Get the stuff we want for the apartment, mainly new storage units and shelves for the bedroom and living space – we started doing this but stopped because we realized we don’t have the money or room. We also didn’t want to buy more furniture if we are leaving Canada in 2015. This will be revisited next year because I would really like at least some shelves up and frames. Decorate the house a little bit
5. Loose 50 pounds – I really gotta stop doing this to myself. I have lost and gained
weight this year. I think in total (with the weight loss and weight gain) I have lost a total of 8 pounds.. yes major fail on this one.
6. Look into best options for a new car (either leasing or loan) and if possible get a new car (this will depend on whether we can afford it and/or we find the car that would best suit us). We decided not to look into getting a new car or leased car as financially it wouldn’t work.
So we are going to make our car last as long as possible. So this goal was 86’d during the year.
7. Get an emergency kit together for the house –Started. Got my lists of what I need to get I
just have to get them. But as always $$ comes into play
8. Contribute money to RSP's (at least $1000.00 to start) –have almost 1000.00. But I had to
borrow some money to pay for my divorce from my ex-husband. So by the end of the year ill have about 600.
9. Continue to grow this blog - have my bad days and I have my good days…but its getting better in making sure this blog is up to date
10. Attend the BF's family reunion – DONE. Did this in July as planned and had a great time doing it.
11. Attend another sunny destination (either Mexico or back to Cuba) – We changed this slightly from a sunny destination to Australia. We decided around March to go home and
surprise my mum for her birthday. So we didn’t go to mexico or cuba but we saw family and had a great time. AND it was a holiday to. So I would say Goal completed.
12. attend a dance class/course (either jazz or belly dance)– again didn’t make it to this one this year. I just didn’t seem to have the time. Tabled for next year.
13. Stress less.. – DONE and then some. I have been really good in letting things go and not wasting time on people who don’t deserve my energy. I even had people tell me I seem happier and less stressed out. Particularly at shows that are with my theatre group. I was done babysitting people. It was up to them to make sure they were ready on time. Its not my job to make sure they get to their cues. They now the routine so they can be adults about it. So
my stress less goal has worked great and I will continue it throughout next year. Particularly the part about not wasting my energy on those not deserving.
