Later this week I will post my goals for March. But for now I will post some updates I did for February.
My last post I said I was going to give up pop for a week. And I am happy to say I did. For that entire week I had no pop whatsoever. Pretty proud of myself for doing that. I found it hard at times but easy during others. The easy part was at home or eating out. Was very easy to ask or take water instead of pop. I just had to make sure I had filled up my water bottle at home. The hardest was going out. I went to a couple of shows that week and couldn't drink beer as I was driving. Normally I would have ordered pop but instead I had to keep asking for water. The waitress kept looking at me funny, I guess thinking I was a cheap skate, drinking no beer or water, even when I explained it she was still a little unsure. So I gave her a tip anyway for helping me out.
After the week was over I noticed myself still not drinking as much pop. I still order water when I go out for dinner or take-away. I found take-away pop just terrible after the challenge. I have saved so much money from cutting back on pop and although I haven't weighed myself to check the results if any on weight loss I had a friend of mine say to me that I look brighter, happier and looking like I lost weight. So all in all a success...
The other update is regarding my tummy issues. Finally went to see a specialist the other day who told me I have the beginning stages of IBS. This is caused as a combination of age, bad diet and stress. He suggested I go on a low carb and low sugar diet for a couple of months the start introducing carbs and foods into my system and see what works and what doesn't. Start a list of the foods I can't eat as it upsets my system. I have already started a list since having my gall bladder removed but at least I know I am not causing any damage to my insides and the suggestions he gave will help me with my tummy and yes help me loose weight to. So my plan is when I get my taxes back I am going to sign up with weight watchers for a couple of months and get help with an eating plan that will serve my needs. That I am hoping to do in the next week or so.
Lastly I have saved enough money to pay off a second credit card. I will be sending that money home at the end of the week to pay of the second Aussie credit card. Which makes two (out of 3) credit cards paid off in 2 1/2 months. Next on the list - pay off the third card, line of credit and save for Cuba
So that's the update for now. As mentioned I will put in my goals for March in another post soon.
