Week 2 was a hit and miss for most of the part. I did really well with cutting back on my calories and walking almost every day. But then Saturday and Sunday came around and i was very busy on Saturday with family and running errands and then Sunday i screwed up my shoulder somehow (i think i slept on it wrong). So i didn't get much exercise done during the weekend. Although i did attend Pride Parade on Sunday and walked around downtown.. but it wasn't a sweat dripping walk but at least i wasn't on the couch. And as mentioned in my weekly check up i packed my own water and snack so i wouldn't be tempted to buy and eat loads of the wrong food as food carts were everywhere. Although i admit it was tempting.. sooo much yummy food
Again the main thing i have found trouble with is finding time to exercise. I know its not an excuse but its true. I did find another walking route home which is basically half an hour instead of 20 minutes but sometimes finding the time is difficult. But between life, work and everything else finding just 20 minutes in my day at times can be hard. Some days i have no problem working out for an hour but others.. not so much.
I am currently working on a daily schedule that will include time for working out, walking, cleaning, time for me etc etc. Hopefully i will have this ready and implemented by end of week 3 or start of week 4 for sure. That will help
Also at the end of week 2 was my scheduled weigh in for the month. If you haven't already read i have lost 12 pounds in July. It wasn't until mid July that i started this program and really got into it. So that is not a bad start at all. Its 12 pounds less i have.
I have also found the benefits of walking in the way that it reduces stress. This time of year can get very busy for me at work and can get very stressful. Same with life in general. But i have found recently how happy i get during and after i work out. I feel like i can take on the world. Its like a happy drug that i can't get enough off. What they tell you is true. Exercise is a great stress reliever.
