I mean don’t get me wrong I like hearing I am in good health and I am very happy with who I am and I know I could stand to lose some weight but hearing it from a complete stranger kinda puts things into prospective. I did have to weigh myself at the doctor’s office and it was 252 pounds. Up from the last time I weighed myself many months ago.. eeep
I did make a plan of getting back into shape while injured but going back over it its just way too much too soon.. ill never stick to it. I know me and what happens in life. I had myself getting up every morning early walking, walking after work, going to the gym after that,
etc etc. I know me and if I do too much to soon Ill either get bored with it or won’t stick to it as life can get busy at times.
So I think the best way do to his is just take baby steps.. start with a routine and then slowly add more to that routine.. that way I can get used to it over time and not have it invade my life at warp speed.
I started walking again after work with a buddy of mine. We haven’t done it since last summer and when we were just about to start getting back into it my hip went. So back to it was. Last week we walking twice and this week it was 3 times (each at 90 minute). I figured if I can do at least 3 times a week that should be good. Last year we did that and I did lose a good amount of weight. And we have made our plans to continue to do that over the summer (most likely at least till October, when I go home for a holiday)
I have also signed up for myfitnesspal.com and have been very good the last two weeks entering in all my food and exercise. I have noticed its making me a little more accountable for what I eat and exercise. Hopefully I can keep that up.
So next week I am going to be adding another element to my weight loss program. I used to walk for half an hour every lunch time last year (which I think helped a lot with my weight loss). So starting next week, weather permitting, I will be walking again for 30 minutes at lunch time. This time however I will do it at 12 noon and get it over before eating lunch. That way I don’t eat and go “ill start tomorrow”
So I wrote a little note to myself to remember to bring a change of clothes on Monday so I can
change before leaving.
I am hoping to create a schedule for myself that is more healthy and can help me lose some weight
