Anyway I have been on it for little under a week now. I have been doing pretty good so far. Keeping under or par to the points I am allowed, eating more fresh fruit and veggies and cutting a lot of fat from my diet. So I have noticed some benefits so far under the plan..
- I have lost 3 pounds in a few days. This may be just the initial shock and/or water weight but its a start. Actually looking forward to weigh in day.
- I have had only one two stomach issues this whole week. One I am sure was from a bad beer (hey I am allowed my days off teehee) and the other I wasn't sure about. But still better then what is was
- I seem to have more energy. I am still drinking energy drinks some days but I find its more I want the taste more the I need the energy. Next week I am going to challenge myself (again) to go without
- I am learning portion sizes and to be weary of them - I am sleeping better.. although I admit I need more of it (which is another thing to work on) I am not waking up 3 times in the evening. And when going to bed I am able to fall asleep faster
- I am more happy. I think this goes with the energy thing. I am feeling more happy about things. This is also partially due to a me learning to stress less in life. But it all ties in.
- I am able to focus more. I am able to focus at one task at a time more easily then before when I was all over the place. Especially when things got busy.
- I plan ahead, particularly when it comes to meals. I make my lunch everyday (I have saved money to not buying lunch or snacks during the day) I am planning meals when it comes to going out to.. so I am not tempted by buying burgers and crap. Which is fine once I a while, but if I didn't often it becomes a problem.
I remember watching Super Size Me and they mentioned that the problem kids where getting healthy meals at their school and the school experienced a decrease in problem (mainly in anger issues and students unable to focus) and I look at the benefits above and I can see why. Since eating better this week I see much more of a difference. I can feel a change in me.
So my plan is to keep this up.. at least for the 3 months I paid and then assess the situation after that. pretty sure though if it goes well I will keep using it. I have two friends of mine also on the points plus system and they rave about it. One even after reaching her goal weight.
So hoping to keep doing well and keep blogging about it, hopefully in the effort to keep myself motivated.. hopefully this time I will
