1. Lose 50 pounds this year. – well I started off the year on a high note but then lost track. In September the BF and I joined a gym and really made an effort. But November I had lost 25 pounds over the past year but then gained 4 more over December. So in total I lost 21 pounds over the course of 2014. Not bad but not great by any means. But it’s a step in the right direction.
2. Bring down my debts by 50%. – Again this was another one of those started off really well then faulted due to life happenings. In total I have paid of two of the three credit cards. So I have one card and the line of credit. I would estimate the debt has gone down by about a ¼. And we also bought a new car this year which just took our debt up by $10k.. but I am not counting that.. we needed a car.
3. Have a great time in New Orleans in April and not be in debt by it. – This was DONE.. so much fun
4. Have a great time in Miami in July and not be in debt by it. – DONE.. again what an amazing trip
5. Really sort out the storage locker downstairs. .. unfortunately didn’t get anywhere near this. But the BF and I have a date in Feb set to go down and have a look in there and make a plan for it
6. Save money for moving fees and the BF’s visa application fees. – this is have done.. We have enough saved for the Application fee which we will start hopefully in March (if all is well between me and him) and just need money for moving down. First thing to work out is how much its going to cost.
7. Read more and less TV. Nope.. although I did cut back on TV I didn’t read more.. of the last couple of months its be rehearsing and gym
8. Organize my life. – this is one of those things I don’t know why I put it on the goal list. I do really well and having my life totally organized but then I get lazy and turn into a slob and things all go to hell again.. hahaha.. like right now… my house is a total mess.. but I have plans over the Christmas holidays to tidy up. I have called it Operation “Room in Order”.. doing the annually purge/clean/scrub down of the house
9. Stress less and avoid drama people. – DONE.. although I admit its hard to get drama people out of my life as I find that people with useless drama seem to follow me I have learned just to walk away. I have also tried to stress less by having a positive attitude and learning to walk away from crappy situations… looking after me and my health first. Also being positive does amazing things for one’s brain and self-esteem.
Over all 2014 has had its ups and downs.. from amazing trips of a lifetime to loosing family suddenly. Goal made and some done others half done and couple not done at all. Time, I guess to come up with different goals. But this year I have a plan to help me achieve them.. stay tuned
